Burntgamber, everyone has a different trading/investing style. I think you and I have already established our differences.
For instance, I believe holding AKK long term is a good move providing you obviously keep a track of how they are going. If all is moving the right way, I see no reason to sell. SLR is a good example of a speculative stock that had growth potential that was realised in the share price. And it is still growing.
I believe AKK can do somthing similar.
With regard to riding out a GFC2, if I lost 50% then so be it. It would only be temporary if the company story and growth is unchanged. I would be glad to buy more during a GFC.
