Reports in the AFR today that Liang O'Rourke are looking to exit Australia & talk of private equity buyers sniffing around & also talk in the market of possible merger talks / other targets etc. Makes me suspicious the way several 100k orders seem to have been processed recently pretty quickly. O'Rourke according to AFR has an order book of around $2.3b & has been quoting very competitively to buy work to dress the books pre going on the auction table. Struck me that it must be of a similar size to WTP & it too has recently been active in the mining sector. Makes me wonder. Maybe Old Kev & Clem Jones's beneficiaries are contemplating more time on their boats?
