Wonder if the people selling are bothering to actually consider the reasons why they are selling, or just following the herd.
In my 'earlier' years, I prety much made the same mistake on many occassions...selling quality companies just because the market did and it made me edgy.
Everytime I get a bit nervous about a company these days, I grab a piece of paper then think hard about it and try to come up with the reasons why I feel the need to sell.
More often than not...I end up with a blank sheet of paper and thus I continue to hold.
Mind you, I'm only talking about selling out completely...I am definitely not against capital preservation by taking profits on some shares (I have sold some NST previously, though decided I oversold and have bought a few back).
