And isn't Vale currently looking in Australia for some cheap producing companies in order to reduce their shipping freight costs to China.
They've made it clear that if they were going to huy something in OZ, the iron ore was going to be shipped directly from here to China, because it is closer for them, and cheaper.

I know I am only guessing here, but I have never seen any Company doing a Takeover of another company without firstly giving a good massage/workover to reduce their sp to an acceptable level.

Say someone was to come out now and put an offer on the table to us with say a 40% to 50% premium. That wouldn't even get us to the sp highs that we experienced before.

I am not saying that we are under a threat of a T/O and I am only making an example of what could be the case out there with other companies as well, but in the Sharemarket, anything is possible.

As they say, Expect the Unexpected.
