Denben,I think you had better attend a course in Economics as this quote of yours shows your knowledge is minimal:

You evidently don't understand that a high dollar REDUCES the value of our exports ie the unit value of exports, whilst DECREASING the cost of imports (good for the consumer). Don't confuse volume with price. The only value to the resource coys through the high Aussie dollar is a reduction in the cost of any imported mahinery.
And the volume of minerals being processed by the resource companies raises the income flowing through STATE Treasury coffers. Are THEY using it wisely?
