If my memory serves me well, I remember in an annual report LCT mentioned that Diabetes 1 treatment by Diabecell would cost health insurance 220.000 dlrs. per person. The same WHO figures that were mentioned by Junebug speak of an average of 500.000 dlrs cost for Diabetes treatment including complications like artery, kidney and other neuropathy diseases. In most western countries a higher life expectancy have only increased costs to the insurer. I think dante is right in saying that 10% is type one.But even than a quick calculation shows the enormous potential for LCT.
