Kyrgyzstan proposes to Qatar to make investments into development of 4 gold depositsBishkek (AKIpress) - Director of the State Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources Uchkunbek Tashbaev offered Qatar businessmen to establish cooperation in the mining sector at the meeting on March 5 in Doha, reported Tazabek.

Uchkunbek Tashbaev said the two countries may sign the agreements on production of of gold, rare earth metals, oil products, coal and gas.

He said Kyrgyzstan hosts big reserves of mercury, stream gold, tin and wolfram. He familiarized businessmen with several gold deposits, including Togolok deposit with estimated 34 tons of gold, Jangak deposit with estimated 47 tons of gold, Terekkan and Perevalnoye deposits with estimated 72.2 tons of gold.

The Qatar Holding is interested in development of the Togolok gold deposit, Tashbaev said after the meeting with businessmen. “All details will be announced during the official visit of the delegation of Qatar to Kyrgyzstan,” he said.
