    Apologies, as I can't provide the link, but I was reading in todays AFR on page 10,(Katie Walsh) where there were "Fewer company collapses" for the January 12 period.

    I thought. Well, this is good news.

    Untill I read further where it says the 32% fall to 518 was due to Courts being closed and people being on holidays.

    When compared with previous years, 2012 were still 13.8% higher than for January 2011 and almost 11% higher than the five year average.

    No one can tell me that the Australian economy is going well and that we don't need more aggressive rate cuts, when you see figures such as these.

    I would remind everyone that Company collapses invariably means job losses.
