I beg to differ on your short term assessment re price. I think they will correct strongly in the short term and the catalyst will simply be the market returning to valuing SAR on fundamentals.

The price action over recent months has not been driven by stock specific issues such as earnings/ resource downgrades etc, but by things like shareholder actions (selldown by Directors etc) and closing out of hedges.

Based on operational measures SAR should be closer to the $1 mark. Time will tell, but I think once the brokers get over their "issues", SAR will move to a more reasonable valuation IMO.

I also think the recent share price volatility is pointing to a re-think by some instos/ brokers. Buying (and selling) is coming in fits and starts and this conflict should get resolved fairly shortly.
