Just took a good slow read of the BIOSHARES writeup, would like to post it. They are saying we are well and truly still in the game.
It says the compounds acquired by Gilead have not been fully characterized with regard to the degree and rate of resistance yet.
BITs advantage is that it has a differant class of action to polymerase and protease inhibitors. It may be used with a differant combo of drugs (20 in Phase 2 & 3) to better address the mutation of HCV.
The field is still wide open, apparently.
I will ask MM if she can post this report on the Biotron website. Other companies do this.
