THE TERRITORY is headed for a wet coming week - with an 'increased' risk of a cyclone.
A monsoon trough off the NT coast over Arafura Sea is "very weak at the moment, but does have several weak lows embedded in it," said Senior Forecaster Chris Davies.
The weather bureau issued a flood threat advice for the Arnhem and northern Darwin-Daly districts. They predict isolated showers and thunderstorms, tending scattered about the north and northwest coast over the weekend.
Next week will be another "increased risk" period for a cyclone to develop that may affect the Top End, said Mr Davies.
The cyclone outlook is expected to be revised at 2pm today.
