How am I discrediting brokers by pointing out their forecasts on future commodity prices in relation to company specific cash flow analysis are calculated in a concervative manner?
What I am saying is their forecasts are generally spot price +/- some arbitary inflation adjustment going forward. They generally don't create analysis to spruk an investment, they create them to generate and maintain credibility.
This is a strength, not a weakness. Commodity prices are volitile, mining companies are long term investments, I wouldn't have it any other way.
I hold CCU because the investment stands on conservative calculations, and it also has a potentially significant upside if the financial system continues to unwind.
