It seems that Prosper Australia is a pressure group who's central aim is the creation of nationwide tax on the value of private land. If this tax was introduced then housing values would indeed fall by 20% by December this year.
It seems that this mob wants to see house prices fall by the 20% the propose they will. They want to see the wealth people have built over decades in bricks and mortar decimated. They want to see the wealth that ordinary people have built up and plan to retire on, crushed.
IMHO I conclude that if you are already a home owner then you should realise that Prosper Australia's predictions are not unbiased, but are the expressions and wishes of a lobby group which is working against you, as you strive to build a financial cushion to secure your future.
