I know this has been done to death but I can't help having another look at latest announcement.

Headline -

"Mt Mulligan Settlement & Proposed National Park"

When I read that headline I literally let out a loud nervous laugh. I had only hours earlier been telling a fellow investor that I was nervous that the positive out come could come with a twist(as in my experience anything too good to be true usually is). But I didn't expect proposed NP or for it to be in the headline. WW & IK ??????????????????????

1st Paragragh -

"Mantle Mining Corporation Limited (ASX: MNM) “Mantle”, advises that it has reached a Pre Trial Settlement with Calcifer Industrial Minerals Pty Ltd (Calcifer) in relation to the Supreme Court Action over the Mt Mulligan Coal and CBM Tenements in North Queensland."

ADVISES??? What happened to "is pleased to advise" as is stated in almost every other positive ann' released by just about every Co on the asx and usually mantle? Hello, we just won a court case for ownership of a valuable resource that has been going on for years? Aren't we pleased??

2nd Paragraph -

"Mantle also advises that as part of the settlement process, discussions between Mantle’s tenement managers and relevant Government Departments regarding the tenement transfers have revealed recent developments towards a proposed National Park over Mt Mulligan."

Now I have to skip ahead here. Further down in the ann' it is stated that "Up to this point, Mantle has been unable to meaningfully engage with the Departments regarding the tenements because Mantle was not recorded as the tenement holder" and "With the assignment of the tenements being able to proceed, the Mantle subsidiaries will be able to be recorded as the tenement holders. Mantle will be able to engage directly with the relevant Government Departments and will, as a matter of priority, lodge enquiries to determine the situation as relates to the proposed National Park and work with those Departments and the traditional custodians towards the most appropriate strategy to progress the project". If mantle was "unable to meaningfully engage with the Departments regarding the tenements" and as of the day of this announcement/settlement nothing has changed except that "Mantle subsidiaries will be able to be recorded as the tenement holders. Mantle will be able to engage directly with the relevant Government Departments" then how does mantle even know about the proposed NP (or more to the point why didn't they already know and inform holders/market). Did they really find out on the day? Wow that was quick!

The rest of the ann' is all positive and standard IMO but I can't help putting a serious ? over the parts I have highlighted above.

Then as akq pointed out, the recent drilling results in with a 3b ?????????????????????????????

IMO our management are on the ball with everything else they have done at least as far back as IK's appointment. I have faith in them and so can come to one conclusion only, as I have stated before, there is a plan in action here and IMO these "games" are a bullish sign for the future. I hope it's not just blind faith, lol
