The three major religions of the current era are all monotheistic and believe in the same force as the beginning and end of all that exists.
Christianity refers to the Father, Son and Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit..aspects of the One.
Those groups which have referred to multiple gods have done so in terms of the different aspects of the One, except during the Roman Era when the Emperors' also proclaimed themselves to be gods, not unlike those of own era in which the US Congress is being bypassed in favour of the "elites" of the human ego. Hinduism is a prime example of the representation of a single God in terms of multiple personas. It is also far older than the "religions of the book".
Gods were traditionally presented in an anthropomorphic form as this was easier for the people at that time to relate to the philosophically deep concepts involved.
Although human spirituality has been exceptionally slow in terms of evolution it has moved forward. For example, there would be few Christians today who view God in anthropomorphic terms, however this does not preclude the existence of a unified intelligence that stands behind all that exists.
There are also references in the bible to the Nephilim and other groups who were supposedly the result of a crossing between human women and ?gods or ?alien races. They were said to be extremely bloodthirsty and evil in all aspects of their being.
The flood of Noah's time was supposed to have occurred in an effort to rid the world of the evil offspring. The bible also states that they existed after the flood, so presumably they are still with us.
Perhaps you can 'guess' who in this current world carries their bloodlines. Not hard imo.
