For some, the question seems to be relevant to Julia Gillard, why not to Juli Bishop too ?"
Hi misty, I agree with Lauraturner's post #: 254137 (Thumbs Up btw Laura), the question shouldn't be relevant to anyone, be they an MP or any Joe or Joeline on the street. It isn't a socially acceptable question. Much like "why are you gay" or "who do you vote for" or "are you pregnant" aren't socially acceptable questions.
It is also irrelevant because Gillard & Bishop are just members of their respective parties, personally they have little influence on their party's decision or policy making so really their personal lives don't matter.
However, it's obvious that many voters are quite stupid when it comes to politics (just look at the incompetents in government). Many voters place their vote with whichever leader they like better, they simply either don't have the brains or lack the interest to think any further than that.
So in that sense, or at least to many voters, the question is relevant to their vote. This applies to Gillard & Bishop & Abbott & Hockey & Brown & Roxon etc. etc. etc.
