    HappyCats,

"Religionists treat other religions the same as they treat science. They just grab whatever bits of it they want to to substantiate your own beliefs."

The Perennial Philosophy lies at the heart of all religions, the difference lies in the cultures from which the different religions arose. The heart of the matter is unchanging.

Religions have all been created by man, and over time they inevitably fall from grace, overcome by power squabbles, corruption, dogma and the like. Those that fail to evolve with the people eventually become defunct replaced by something more appealing to people's inner convictions.

It is very good that today we have many people who seek for understanding from a multitude of religions. This is a great step forward and points the way to a future world of greater acceptance and understanding between people and cultures. An open mind is always to be admired, along with the respect for individual belief.
