I think it is over siplifying(or is it over complicating) the stance Russia and China are taking on Syria to drag up cold war attitudes. Russia has stated that the prefered option is discussion between both sides. The U.S, whilst drawing back from the mad dog attitude of the Bush era, seems set on stiring the pot and sending soft, patsy lip service to the mainstream media. The people power revolutions in the ME are over. This one will end in tears. By the way, if anyone is interested in what the UN COULD have been....and why it isn't.....I would highly recommend Winston Churchills autobiography.
