They have been working on that since Einsteins days.
Wind is already pretty close to on cost par with coal now, and big improvements are being made in solar efficiency and cost. Then there are also geothermal and solar towers and algae tech fuels all of which offer incredible upside when further commercialised.

Cheaper large scale commercial REEs as deposits like PEKs Ngualla promise the world in the not so distant future will bring down the cost of wind generation enormously.

So I reckon Thorium generators may be viable one day but by then there will be far cheper and safer alternatives. I think there already are now.

But Im always open to learn. Regardless we dont have the stuff and Im glad we dont. Half the PEK journey is about image and clever marketing(ahhem) and part of our strength is the safety of our ores due to virtual lack of radiation. We have just about everthing else at Ngualla, Uranium and Thorium in any significant levels in something Im glad we dont have.

    Cheers Dude
