Hi angor532.
I believe,Hanlong are only a tool to help get convention and mining permits.Once we have them, then others will step in.
African nations have been for awhile now been seeing what the Chinese are really like.
Some African Nations have been complaining about the Chinese, not paying local taxes, not treating local workers fairly, not following world environmental guidelines, not keeping proper figures on what they are extracting and exporting back to China.
The way the Chinese are throwing money at African Nations to get a foot hold will come back to bite them on the bum.
The mining processes are not what they do best.
Infrastructure building they know what and how to do it.Mining and following guidelines they turn a blind eye to.
The Chinese need others to find and process prospective mineral prospects and do all the studies needed before they come in with the cash.
Belinga is a good example of what happens when the Chinese have to start from scratch. They started off in front of SDL,and are now years behind. They should have worked with VALE as a partner, instead of shafting VALE out of the project.
Regards
Westcott.
