About 5 years ago, I did the same. I walked up to the doctors doubled up with stomach pain. The doc said off to hospital with you as you have appendicitis.
Lucky the hospital was next door. Surgery was planned for the next day.

When the surgeon saw me he said something isn't right here.

Many scans later, there was evidence of something else, that I had lived with for about 30 years.

The result : major surgery , 2 weeks in hospital, 6 weeks off.

All stomach pains are not appendicitis. I have the scar to prove it.
