You seem pretty clued up. I've mentioned this before but...

How about BOA's involvement with Sabre Fund Management?

BOA's substancial shareholder notices include an appendix which states it has a prime brokerage agreement with Sabre whereby the lender has the right to recall the assets at any time.

According to the appendix Sabre's holding is 17.7m + 1.7m or 3.85% of the company.

Sabre Fund is a Hedge Fund managed by the firm’s founder and Managing Director, Philip Mathews.

Mathews (now a billionaire) has managed the group’s successful flagship investment vehicle, the Sabre Fund since inception in 2002. Philip is also responsible for managing the Peak Energy and Global Resources Fund launched in February 2011. Philip is widely recognized as one of Australia’s most astute and successful private investors.

Do you think Mathews might be pulling the strings here and just using BOA as a means of staying off the PLA top 20 - publicly?

Certainly the trading style would seem to be a give-away?

Any other thoughts?
