Quote: recent publicity suggests that Japan has had a late severe influenza season. The Company earns royalties from sales of its influenza products, Relenza and Inavir in Japan. Such outbreaks have in the past triggered speculative interest in Biota shares.

The BOTs are able to control the market because large investors are put off by the useless management.

They will not announce worthy news until they are dragged out by the ASX query. And even then at every opportunity Peter Cook downplayed the good news. See the phrase SPECULATIVE INTEREST used to down play that the severe influenza season will bring in a greater royalty revenue.

These downplayed releases will not cause the share price to rise too rapidly and the lower the June share price, the more free oopies Peter Cook gets.

Downplaying good news is consistent with Peter Cook's track record.

We should not forget the event of 23/04/09 when BTA announced a Relenza Q3 royalty of $32.3m and the sp reacted very positively.

A few days later on PertNow newspaper, Peter Cook said "When we went through the avian influenza event four years ago, every time there was a report of a goose or duck dying in Europe our stock price went up." and "To assert, right now, that this (swine flu) will cause a massive rise in sales, well, that class of response is erroneous and lacks understanding."

Is it pure coincidence the recent downplayed news and the out right idiotic 2009 statement occured in the period that could affect the June share price?
