Misty, W.A. has been supporting NSW and VIC since the late 60's.
WA now gives an emormous amount of money to keep those rust bucket states afloat.

In the first big gold rush in WA the eastern states were in a post goldrush slump and large numbers migrated to WA. Much of the revenue generated was retained by the British Crown. So, yes, there was a need to financially support W.A.

Unfortunately, NSW and Vic can't seem to understand that they were paid back long ago.

As far as the QLD elections go, I am more than happy to see democracy at work and I beleive we should support any government during their term, at least until polling day. But the vitriol and hate expressed here is a real worry.
