I can't add much more or say it better than what's been said already, but I also think this is a smart move. As long as it is in safe hands, and not to people who are going to palm them off for a small profit and bugger up the momentum.
I also view it as a positive sign. The people prepared to stump up the millions are here to make money, so I assume they are confident with the companies potential, and expect more than a few percent profit.
