Good observation Ville.
However, I feel it will be necessary to
win the 'hearts and minds' of the 'locals'.
Something similar to the PH emphasis on
aboriginal employment. And the Oxiana
emphasis on 'local assistance' as demonstrated
in Laos.
The possibly 'socialist' mind-set must be
accommodated to avoid strikes and sabotage.
An early investment in the local hospital and
age-care centre may be in order.
It may also be an idea to avoid any immediate
reduction in the number of workers. If larger and
more efficient equipment is introduced then put the
people to work on site safety, increasing processing
capacity or other things.
Over time the number of workers may decrease. But those
remaining may have some sense of loyalty and focus
on further productivity improvements.
Once again Ville, I support your observation but with some
'massaging' of the theme. HC42 PS If it happens at all.
