I'm trying to analyse last Monday's activity (19/3), now that we don't have the hoped-for follow-through upwards.
On Fri 16/3 the close was 42.5 on 1.5m TO.
The open on 19/3 was 41 (1.5 gap drop). The low was 40.5. The top and close were both 46.5 and TO was 2.9m.
The open on 20/3 was 46.5 and close was 43.5 on 1.2m TO.
Since then the TO has dropped off with 21/3 0.49m, 22/3 0.257m, 23/3 0.324m and today 0.687m and SP close 41.5.
I have been aware that the sell side has been bigger than the buy in the main for the past couple of weeks and by a fair bit - except I believe on 19/3, the day of the bigger TO and the SP increase.
Is there some funny business going on here? Is there accumulation going on? How do others read the situation? I don't buy the claim that DTs are controlling.
And Rameez, did you in fact sell all of your shares last week at one point in time - or the week before? You had "no stock held" at 46.5 on 19/3 and later that day "stock held" at the same price. Just curious!
