Aussie mining professionals (engineers, mine planners, geo's, mine surveyors, process technicians and metallurgists etc) are some of the best in the world and are in demand OVERSEAS, not just here in Australia.

Mining professionals specialise in particular fields because all mining is different and even then the same mine can have variable conditions.

No-one from China is coming here to take my, or my colleagues, jobs. China cannot produce the high quality, experienced mining professionals that WORLD WIDE mining companies are seeking.

I don't know what you do for a job, or even if you have a job, but it sounds like you're very insecure and very bitter and envious.

It is never too late to go back to study and change careers. Most students are too soft these days to even go to Kalgoorlie to do their time at WASM. They do most in Curtin Perth and even then they don't want to go to site.

So for those of us prepared to study, work hard and work in remote sites, the world really is our oyster.
