CG, Thanks for the reply. I would hope that BTA have the safety issues covered. If they have, its not in the public domain. Why not? There is no published peer-reviewed science by BTA or others - independent or otherwise - to verify safety.

From the trial: ....."Early pleconaril treatment was well tolerated and significantly reduced the duration and severity of colds due to picornaviruses in adults......." .....Sounds a lot like the BTA press release...... Several companies did their money trying to get plecondaril approved for prevention or therapy for rhinovirus. I'd like to see the safety issues addressed before we spend any more money progressing this drug. Or, get it licensed out ASAP and have big pharma address the safety issues. I just hope we don't have another plecondaril. I have no confidence in these press releases. Slab
