nihilism I also do my research but I guess I do it in silence. By doing this research, if I find that I am not happy with certain things I act accordingly. I might sell my entire holding or I might reduce my exposure. But I do not have to come out and tell the world why I have chosen this path or what is wrong with a particular company. I own many stocks but I chose not to post on them.
I do however find myself posting on GCN because it seems to me it gets alot of people criticsing it.So I do find myself defending it more often than I would like.
Fair criticsm is good but GCN seems to cop more than most.
I know it is an open forum and everyone has their right to express their opinion, but I guess I will never fully understand why people with no vested interest continue to criticise at every opportunity.
The Wi fi delay is a perfect example. GCN are constantly being hounded for them not delivering on time.
Victrack is the cause for this delay and the length of time it has taken reflects badly on Melbourne the city.
On the 3rd of FEB the herald sun ran a story about Wi Fi being introduced to Melbournians. For this to have taken as long as it has is nothing short of disgraceful.
But from the conversations I have had with numerous parties the delay is not because of GCN and yet it is they that continue to be ridiculed for it.
An open forum does means people can say what they like about how a company goes about it's business.
Unfortunately open forums are made up of people who quite often are not right with their comments or their assumptions.
But as you say, everyone has the right to comment, even if they unfortunatley do not possess all the facts.
