I think the point people are trying to make here is that there is a shift in wage levels (decreasing).
When 1000 jobs go at ANZ with an avg of $70k, they are shifting to bunnings at an avg wage of $40k.
Good news for the ABS unemployment figures.
Bad news for retail and property sectors.
