I received a phone call from an agent today regarding a property I was enquiring about..a house with a permit to construct 6 townhouses in safety beach...I advised that I did some numbers and my real concern was generating pre sales.. he then said it was never a better time to buy..I disagreed immediately and I had asked him what authority compels you to say its a great time to buy..?? i had also advised that we are nowhere near the bottom of the curve..the agents again says its a great time to buy???
I said give me some economic facts and data..other than the freeway extension that will bring more long term residents to the area and that its a coastal suburb. He replies, look I ll keep you on the database and update you with future property opportunities..

Why is it that agents are not regulated?? Someone could lose a hell of a lot money on a poor property transaction based on an agents simple statement.."its a great time to buy"

A financial planner on the other hand is heavily regulated and so they should, would be crucified if their advice was not well researched nor accurate.

How The real estate industry got big and powerful with dumb ass bottom feeders beats me.
