Isonea comes close with its launch next month of AsthmaSense, a wheeze-monitoring function that is used by applying the phone to the neck. But the real sizzle is in future functions, such as city-by-city pollen alerts and trend data that enables doctors to track warning signs of broader problems. According to chief executive Michael Thomas, 40,000 mobile health apps generated $718m in revenue last year.
