I have been thinking that might happen as well, but perhaps it is temporary. The lure of big bucks from west African goldies is still very strong. There are also issues with operating in Latin America and Asia but the gold is there so people will put some money into those regions.
There are not many good goldies based in Australia. We are lucky being in SLR.
AMX is an interesting short term prospect for brave speculators if a takeover takes place. Obviously there is some interest in doing this.
