I concur this MIGHT b a stalling tactic.
Mmk are still getting the same asset at the same price just paying for it later. Maybe even a chance to pick up a few extra shares at a discount tomorrow if the sp drops 5/ 10% at open. So financially not a bad move by mmk.
N a further opinion, I can't see a higher offer coming in. This is just wishful thinking.
