Just read the RBS update on amx.

Interesting points:

1. They do not think amx are "for sale" as many media outlets have suggested. AMX are merely engaging in a targeted process of assessing corp. interest, not putting up a "for sale" sign.

2. They think that amx would be unlikely to strictly "want to sell" as a course of action, as the next 2 years should see some of the fastest growth and perhaps another 5mil/oz could be discovered at new discoveries in that time (not unrealistic given the new lab and a pipeline of 15+ targets). This fact alone could accelerate takeover activity, as the bigboys would rather pick it up here at a respectable price and add thier own value , rather than get smashed by another 5mil/oz price tag.

Basically , the big boys will NEVER get a better chance than now to make a play for amx , AND THEY KNOW IT ! That is why they are beating a path to amx's door in numbers ! The same goes for us , we are unlikely to get a sniff at these prices for much longer imo. Wont look overbought until over $1.60 from here imo

I've heard many suggest that konkera is already an unofficial 5mil/0z discovery and that the 4mil+/oz mark is all but guaranteed this year. When the new labs kicks in next month the amount of infill and resource drilling will be massive - so konks has an upside potential to an even higher number in the next 12months i reckon.

Apart from all the takeover posturing ,think about this $25million of new drilling this year ....11 drill rigs on site! - all active - all soon to be feeding samples into the prep lab, 16 targets , 3 new highgrade discoveries ready to turn into resources - sample turn around of just a few weeks - all fueled by a heavily oversubscribed capraise at 1.30, that had huge insto support (huge support as they know what on the cards imo).

I also read an article in the Fin Review about AMX , where the author mused that management would need to see at least a $400mill offer to start taking anyone seriously. $400mill offer will get you a seat at the breakfast table , thats about it! Management will be holding out for much more than that i reckon.

Big boys, analysts and investors alike need to set their sights alot higher here , or risk missing out on some BIG gains.

Amx will multibag from here imo.
