Barrick Gold Corp. (NYSE: ABX)(TSX: ABX.TO) says that it has completed the sale of $2 billion in debt securities that consists of $1.25 billion of notes due 2022 and $750 million due in 2042. The net proceeds of the sale will be used to repay existing debts and the balance will finance the development of mining projects as well as for general corporate purposes. Barrick is a Canadian-based gold development and production company. " _________________________________
And i think Newmont recently did something simular.
Very , very interesting that the big boys are establishing a war chest of many billion dollars ,and the timing of it all.
