    seden33 - you quoted a study showing the ocean has been accumulating heat since the early 1900s or maybe even the late 1800s. You also pointed to a chart showing CO2 has been rising since the mid-1800s.

    It is well known that CO2 is a greenhouse gas and rising CO2 levels will cause a rise in global temperature, other things being equal.

    This study where some of the heat has gone looking back over the period. It's gone into the ocean.

    Can you clarify what it is about the above/the paper you are querying?
