You make a good point about the cumulative brokerage/audit fees in a SMSF. Those that do a lot of trading would have substantial costs across the year.
For me, I'm going to keep it simple in the early stages. I think I will start the SMSF off in an Account based pension mode.
Majority in term deposits/fixed interest and some in some high yielding fully franked shares.
Fairly conservative and won't be trading much.
I'll play it from there.
