If she goes, will the Labor caucus beg Rudd to come back? Or will they turn to one of the other ministers?
How about Combet? He is in charge of Climate Change so may not be a good choice considering how unpopular the carbon tax is.
How about Shorten? He oversees work place relations, I think. Not sure how he would go when the FWA report hits the headlines. And his mother in law is the GG - does this present a conflict of interest?
How about Smith? He doesn't seem to be popular with the military guys.
How about Carr? He is in the Senate, maybe too late to bring him into the House of Reps. His track record in NSW could count against him.
Maybe they will resurrect Simon Crean to lead them to the next election.
