This implys to me that from say 1875-1962 which is 87 years the ocean temperature increased twice as much as in the last 50 years, indicating the warming is slowing even tho co2 levels have increased massively over the period in question. It interesting you mention solar activity which is in agreeance with Birdman29's previous posts on the subject
