Agree, but don't worry too much about early entry.
Good if your indicators pick it up but not a fundamental for profitable trading.
Rest of your post is spot on.
Floating stops mandatory to limit loss and minimise selling into support. A widening of your stop parameters as the trade become more profitable is a must for this.
Trick still to be mastered by myself in 2003 is ability to buy back in after being stopped at profit on support.
