Ok,been doing a little more digging around the acres held by GGP and, I really am getting very surprised as to just who our other neighbours are.Remeber in that interview on YMYC when the analyst let slip that one of the coy's chasing GGP was a big fella ?? Well I'm still researching our area but EOG and Devon energy haven't put it out into the public domain about them moving into our area.( not as far as I have read anyway )Her are just some figures on their current applications in and around Big Lake.
In my previous post I mentioned EOG were just east of us in Irion county, well they are actually a lot closer than that. They are also in and around Big lake and have 17 Horizontal an 1 vert applications approved or awaiting approval in 2012 alone.Prior to this year EOG only had 7 applications in 2011 and 4 in years prior. So they have really stepped up their attack in and around Big lake. Why ? what can they see in the intervals ? Is it the same as SG has alluded to in his ann's ?
Devon energy have had 16 applications since 2010. 2 x Horizontals in 2012 and 6 x vert and 4 x Horizontals in 2011.
Apache Corp had 11 applications in the last 10 years but have stopped now they have been taken over by BHP Billiton last year.
So, my mind is a little distracted at the moment, trying to figure out who wants to share a 3D seismic who is selling some prime Permian acres and who wants to play ball with us ??
