Thank you David25 and Farmboy you are both very refreshing and real to read. I am glad I dropped in here for a while to meet some more fellow minded members.
David, one of the points you raise it that some industries will have to put up prices. The transport industry is the key one IMO as its effect will run straight through the economy.
This effect will be far reaching and will impact several struggling industries previously impacted by ALP loose fiscal policy which was countered in part by the RBA rate rises. Swan has just claimed some credit for this in his spin on returning the budget to surplus and blowing yeldub and some of these posters arguments out of the water.
I refer to tourism, agriculture and retail. I understand that agriculture appears to be exempt however the fuel levy changes and this will hurt. They cannot put up prices at the farm gate because of pressures from Coles and Woolworths. They suffer a drought, then floods and high interest rates (when compared to other trading nations) so they cannot afford to restock in many cases. They suffer knee jerk cattle trade bungling and now all their supplies will be more expensive because they have to be transported to rural area that will be hit hardest.
Food is just another aspect of this that will hurt Australian families and the elderly who get thrown a crumb. David you are right it does appear that they are deliberately attacking Australia. I am becoming increasingly upset about the situation; you and farmboy have nailed it IMO.
Farmboy you hit the nail perfectly when you stated that many "Australians just want the ALP gone". No insult meant to the handful of decent people in the party who are competent but far too few and far between.
Yes one of my usual long winded posts - I am collecting favorite posters in here because I see passion and intelligence.
Now back to work I have a real job - best regards, CW
