This is why (imo) the whole GSA thing isn't worth a cup of coffee at this point. People are worried about a potential softening of lng price today, were happy about an increase a month ago, so on and so on. That's important if you are selling it today.

The reality is, the price of LNG in 4 years will be what matters (or time of delivery)to Icon, so unless anyone has a crystal ball, there is no point worrying about it, at this point in time.

The risk for Icon, and all explorers ramping up for LNG, is they have to put the money in the ground now and hope the price at the time of sale is profitable for what they have spent. However, the upside of this risk is obviously the price is much higher than what you have spent to meet your contract. Which is why there is no value at this stage for the GSA. Someone will spend 40 billion buying x amount of barrels of LNG from Icon, however, if it cost them 40.1 billion to get it to them, its a loss. If it costs 39.9, its a win.

So there is no point getting excited about the contract until you know how much it cost you to either buy the gas, explore for the gas or both, and then compare to the actual LNG price at the time of sale. Which will also fluctuate over the 20 odd years of predicted contract time, so we won't know about the value of this deal until well into the contract (years...).

The best way we will maximize our returns (imo) is with a takeover, as I am not prepared to hold this for 4+XX years, ponying up drilling/purchasing costs until we break even and roll into profit (if that scenario even happens)
