IMO the reason we are not getting reed of the shorters is that they are stuck with 150 Million stock short. They are in trouble. They can not cover them at these prices because as soon as they start covering LYC SP will sky rocket. So they are fighting the tape to keep SP low. But this fight does not have a chance because Lynas is going into production very soon and new demand will demolish their fight. I could'nt wait to see it happening.
I would not be surprised if they are the ones supporting SMSL.
