Chariot Corporation (ASX:CC9) is set to resume its phase one drilling program in Wyoming this month, despite facing slower drilling rates than planned at the Black Mountain project due to harsh early winter conditions.

Six diamond drill holes, totalling 652 metres, have been completed so far, but progress was impeded by adverse weather conditions, including high winds and temperatures as low as -15°C.

The challenging early winter conditions led to issues such as freezing of the water source, water and diesel lines, water truck breakdowns, and blocked access roads.

Nevertheless, weather conditions have notably improved since early December, and the Wyoming forecast indicates an unseasonably mild winter moving forward.

Chariot plans to continue drilling until March 1, 2024, unless adverse weather forces an earlier cessation.

Despite the challenges, the drilling and sampling programs have been incident-free. Six out of the planned 23 diamond drill holes have been completed, and the retrieved drill core has been dispatched to AAL Reno.

Initial assay results are anticipated this month.
