Brazilian Critical Minerals (ASX:BCM) – formerly BBX Minerals – has announced the retirement of its Chief Executive Officer.
Andre Douchane leaves after heading the company’s operations since October 2019.
He will hang around long enough to ensure a seamless handover with the next candidate, the company said on Monday.
In recent years, the company has been developing rare earth element (REE) opportunities in Brazil.

The foremost of those opportunities is the company’s Ema prospect, based within South America’s largest economy.
The project acreage boasts mineralisation near-surface but geotechs continue to hunt for higher grades.
The overall project spans some 189 square kilometres with much of that underexplored by the company thus far.
Chairman comment
The Board announced that it has begun the process of finding a new chief.
Chairman Ken Kluksdahl was warm in his goodbyes to Mr Douchane.
“While the Board has already started the process to attract quality candidates, Andre has generously offered to facilitate as seamless a handover as possible for the in-coming CEO,” he said.
“We thank and appreciate our shareholder’s patience while we navigate this transition.”
