Aurumin (AUN) has identified multiple anomalous gold targets at its Sandstone operations in Western Australia.

The company received initial soil sampling results from the E57/1140 tenement, acquired by Aurumin in June 2022, which had previously been under-explored.

The soil sampling was spread over a 100-metre by 200-metre area, comprising 497 samples.

An ultrafine (UF) soil geochemistry assays highlighted gold-in-soil anomalism and generated several “robust” targets with a strike length of up to 1.4 kilometres long on the north-western margin of the Sandstone Greenstone belt.

Aurumin’s additional systematic UF soil sampling northeast of Two Mile Hill also identified coincident gold and arsenic anomalies corresponding with a felsic intrusive intercepted in historical rotary air blast (RAB) holes.

“Soil sampling is an important step in a region that we believe remains both prospective and under-explored,” Aurumin Managing Director Brad Valiukas said.

“We are pleased with these soil sample results, and it is encouraging to see them aligning with structural and geophysical targets.

“These new gold anomalies highlight the prospectivity of Aurumin’s tenement package for the identification of new resources with follow-up work.”

Mr Valiukas said these results add to the multiple targets already staked at Sandstone and will be considered for incorporation into the next drill program.

Aurumin last traded at 6.3 cents at 1:07 pm AEDT.
