Minerals 260 (MI6) has started follow-up drilling at the Mynt prospect on its Moora project in Western Australia.

The follow-up reverse circulation (RC) and diamond core drilling aim to test strike and depth extensions to recently reported intersections from February 27, 2023.

The reported intersections included 21 metres at 1.3 per cent copper, 0.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 119 metres and 11 metres at 1.5 per cent copper and 0.6 g/t gold from 118 metres.

“Given recent results have confirmed the potential for a significant copper-gold system at Mynt, the decision to fast-track further drilling ahead of planned cropping activities was warranted,” Minerals 260 Managing Director David Richards said.

“Results from this drilling program will give us additional data to plan further work at the prospect.”

The company said it decided to fast-track the follow-up project given the potential for the prospect to host a significant mineralised system.

MI6 will undertake a six-to-13-hole, or 1000-1500-metre, program based on the available data and visual observations.

The drilling is expected to continue until the middle of March and will test around 500 metres of the strike of an interpreted mineralised zone that spans more than one kilometre and to a vertical depth of 300 metres.

Minerals 260 also awaits assays from another 26 holes drilled on the Moora project and the adjacent Koojan joint venture area as part of a recently-completed 82-hole RC drilling program.

Shares in MI6 were up 1.61 per cent and trading at 31.5 cents at 10:48 am AEDT.
